Lincoln High School CoordinatorBethany was born and raised in Sioux Falls. She has had the privilege of growing up in a Jesus-loving family and the Lord developed her greatly in this atmosphere. However, she did not encounter the love of Jesus personally until she was about 8 years old. It was then that the Lord brought her into a fuller understanding of who He is and that He wanted her whole heart, not just duties. This would start a journey into the heart of God at an early age and she would be nourished in many ways.
One of the ways the Lord has empowered Bethany throughout the years is through the ministry of the Firehouse Underground. It was here that she spent much of her high school life seeking the Lord, ministering to people of all ages and life stories, making coffee drinks, and journeying with other believers. This ministry has played a great role in who she has become as a lover of God. She has been blessed to have been leading and following in worship with her friends there for about 3 1/2 years. Leading worship is another one of her passions, in addition to ministering to and with high school students.
Bethany graduated from Lincoln High School and went right into ministry with First Priority Collision. It is a great joy of hers to walk alongside high school students and encourage them as lovers of Jesus while declaring, with them, the truth of Jesus’ and the freedom and salvation He offers.
Bethany is engaged to Francis John. She enjoys spending time with him worshiping, ministering to youth and young adults, hanging out with friends, and publishing and designing websites (like this one). They are excited for what God has in store for them and look forward to a future together.
Bethany’s greatest calling in life is to be a lover of God. She is passionate about the reality that genuine love comes out of a deeper knowing of God and His heart for us that we can then demonstrate this same love to schools, cities, states, and the nations. It is out of the secret place that we are fueled into the place of being vessels of His glory, bringing His kingdom to this earth. A verse that has shaped her and continues to strengthen her heart is, “One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple (Psalm 27:4).
