Jesus is so faithful. So good. His presence is so fulfilling. I’m thankful that He knows me so well.

Lately, the Lord has been leading me through the significance of where lies come from and the effect lies have on the children of God. Yes, I know this sounds a bit unusual to be blogging about something on the contrary of goodness. But God is just revealing so much to me and changing my heart through the Holy Spirit that I need to share this!

As a coordinator at WHS, and being there and hanging out with the students so often, I get to see both their blessings and burdens, their hardships and happiness, struggles, obstacles, etc. I am so blessed that the Lord is using me in their lives and that He is putting them in my life. I get to see, encourage and be a part of the great commission. I get a tad-bit feel of how it was for Jesus among the crowds: teaching, healing, encouraging and loving. Recently, the Lord has just been showing me His heart for His people. It’s heartbreaking. So many students longing to be spiritually adopted into the family of God. But sin won’t allow breakthrough. So many coming so close and then falling deeper into the sinful lifestyle. The reason this brings me to the topic of lies is because lies from the deceiver is where sin is born. The closer we desire to come to Jesus, be saved and born again, the more evil and tempting Satan gets. He will do anything to stop one from entering into joy. Joy with Jesus.

Some of the WHS girls and I are going through the book “Lies Young Women Believe and the Truth that sets them Free” by Nancy DeMoss and Dannah Gresh, and we were all stopped to think of how Satan uses different things in our lives to lie about and eventually bring us to sin. Satan lies to us. And as harsh as this may sound: we listen and dwell on that lie. I know I have before. After dwelling on something it becomes real. We start believing it. And before you know it, you’ve consumed it. You start carrying it out. Whether it’d be a lie about your relationship with Christ or something as simply visible as beauty.

Satan deceives. We listen. We dwell. We believe. We act. Sin forms.

As a believer in the King, my mission is to flee from sin. To reject to listen to the deceiver’s lies. To focus on Jesus, my reward.

He is just so good. I am so grateful to my Father for giving and giving up for us His one son! That we can be set free from the bondage of lies and be captured by His true and faithful Word! I want to seek the face of Jesus and be captivated by His love and truth! No more lies and no more pain. Give me Jesus!

My prayer is that you are not discouraged by this in any way, but take it as an inspiration to focus on the Truth. To dwell on the Lord all day, every day! May He abundantly bless and fulfill this desire in you!
