WHAT:

Collision Café-Every Monday morning Collision students serve hot chocolate, cappuccino, and bagels or English muffins to students and teachers in the cafeteria. Set up for café begins at 6am. Devotion and prayer begins at 6:45. Café opens at 7:15 and tear down is at 8:25. During café, students get the opportunity to share Christ’s love with a student. Why? Gives the students an opportunity to build a relationship with their classmates and a chance to humbly serve them. And gives them a chance to share the love of Christ with the hurting, the broken and the needy.

How you can help? Volunteer! Come and help serve!

God Inquiry- Every Monday after school. Students come with questions and thoughts to share with each other and volunteers that come. Discussions are always deep and leave everyone something to think about. God Inquiry is in the open (cafeteria) so that students who stay after school to wait for their ride in the cafeteria can join in on conversation.

Why? The students desire to grow deeper and know more of the glory of God. And to use that to unite as one and to stand as one under the banner of Jesus. Also, to invite other students who have questions about Jesus and to help them build a solid relationship with Christ.

How you can help? We usually order 9 medium pizzas from Little Ceasar’s and buy 6 bottles of soda for the students during God Inquiry. If this is an area you would like to help in by either donating money for the pizza or bringing in the pizza yourself, we would be greatly thankful!

Football team outreach- Three students a part of Collision, Fautee, Ayom and Jordyn, are on the them in discussing the Word of God. They meet at the home of Matt Adams.

Why? As a team, to have God as the base of their unity. So that these guys grow in this ministry to be strong men of the faith. So that through football and their life the goal and the prize is Jesus.

How you can help? If you are a man that is interested in walking with and discipiling these young high school guys, contact Vita for info of where they meet and what time. You can also provide a simple meal for these guys. Example: hot dogs, pancakes, hamburgers, etc.

Morning prayer- Every Wednesday before school students all students are invited to come and pray. Every Wednesday varies, on some mornings there would be a short video clip about difficulties teenagers may be facing and afterwards student leaders of Collision would ask questions and lead in discussing the topic. Other mornings there would be just prayer for each students needs and prayer for the school. They meet in room A126.

Why? To share what God is doing in each students’ life and to pray and encourage him/her in what God has set out for their ministry in WHS. To encourage other students to be bold for the name of Christ. Also, to pray for any specific needs of any student.

How you can help? Pray for these students as they pray for their school and the ministry they have in school. All are welcome to come and pray every Wed. at 7:30 am. We bring in coffee and donuts for the students so if that is an area you would like to be a part of, contact Vita.

Collision Cafe supplies at the four schools costs us about $500-$600 per week (hot chocolate, cappuccino, English muffins, jelly, peanut butter, creamer, cups, plates, napkins, coffee straws, sugar packs.
